Laser teeth whitening

Whitening is the fastest, simplest way to improve your smile: one visit restores the teeth's natural light shade without touching the tooth structure.

The visit

  1. 01Scaling and polishing so the result is even.
  2. 02Digital shade measurement to record your starting shade.
  3. 03Gum and lip protection with a barrier.
  4. 04Whitening gel activated by laser or light in 3 cycles.
  5. 05Desensitising gel and final shade recorded.

When whitening isn't the answer

Very dark stains (tetracycline), severe fluorosis, or many front fillings respond poorly; veneers are the better option there. We don't whiten teeth with untreated decay or active gum inflammation.

Frequently asked questions

How many shades lighter?

4 to 8 shades in a single visit, depending on your starting colour and type of staining.

Does whitening cause sensitivity?

Mild sensitivity may occur for a day or two. We apply a desensitising gel before and after to keep it to a minimum.

How long does it last?

1–3 years depending on habits (coffee, tea, smoking). A yearly at-home top-up keeps the shade.

Does it whiten fillings and crowns?

No. Restorations don't change colour, so front fillings may need replacing to match the new shade.

Is it safe during pregnancy?

We prefer to postpone until after pregnancy and breastfeeding as a precaution, though there's no evidence of harm.
